Who
Custom Songs Online is the music and audio branch of Tree Kangaroo Creative. It was founded by Serena Andrews, who is the principal designer & president of TKC. On projects requiring a team, Serena outsources to trusted local musicians and engineers.
Serena is a multimedia artist originally from Maine, but she has called Providence, RI home now for 12 years. In school, she studied music performance and filmmaking as well as painting and visual arts. See the "meet us" section in the tabs above to learn much more about Serena's background in music and audio!
What
Custom Songs Online is an audio studio where we create loops, jingles, complete songs, soundtracks, voice over tracks and more. Our audio work can be used in many ways including as a special occasion gift (custom song), telephone hold music, royalty free music to be played in your restaurant or business, or as a complete advertisement online or on the radio! The possibilities are unlimited!
When
Tree Kangaroo Creative was born with all ten toes and fingers on January 1, 2008. In the beginning TKC offered music, video, illustration, design and project management services, all as a part of one business. However, in the last year, each area has grown tremendously and deserves its very own attention!
On our one year anniversary in January of 2009, we decided to create proper divisions for the remaining 3 areas of service, and give them names, love, and each a website of their own. Now TKC is comprised of Design Good Times (digital design), Dream It Illustration (digital and hand illustration services), and Custom Songs Online (songwriting and audio services). Aww! A lovely family.
Where
Custom Songs Online is headquartered in the Smith Hill area of Providence, RI. Our recording facility is simple and elegant!
As a designer, Serena is also a proud member of AS220's Design Providence, a cottage industry for designers located in the Dreyfus Building on Washington St, down town Providence. The studio there is equipped with a meeting area and ample presentation space.
Why
Custom Songs Online believes that the audio is more than half of the quality of advertising outside of print and non-audio web. Think back in your mind to a film you've seen, for example, where the audio was hard to hear... It make the experience a drag. Now think of a time when you watched a not so great film, but you still felt emotion and excitement as the musical score swelled and the sound effects rang out. Amazing, isn't it!
We believe that individuals & businesses alike should have access to the powerful tool of great audio in all their presentations, marketing and projects! Sound good to you? Does to us.
How
As a part of Tree Kangaroo Creative, our parent company, Custom Songs Online is committed to green business practices, buying local, accessibility and keeping it real. We are hosted on DreamHost which is a carbon neutral hosting service, we use minimal paper and energy, and we even use public transit when possible! We are a part of a community, and that's how we would like to keep it!
We use current Mac Intel computers and Logic Pro, as well as our voices, imaginations, and a slew of beautiful outboard gear such as microphones by Blue, Duet, several 88-key keybpard controllers, phenomenal sound banks for midi recording, and real live musicians with real bonafide instruments!
Our process for getting work done is totally, and we mean totally custom to your project. We have a method, but the most important part of that method is listening to our clients and we plan together with you to get your project right!

Voice Over
Voice-over is a fantastic way to personalize and maximize information delivery to your audience, whether it's online or in a video or radio spot. Custom Songs
If you are looking for a custom-made song for film, commercials, or personal or gift purposes, I can create a fully developed, customized piece including lyrics and music. My arrangements range from simple piano-vocals combos to rich, multilayered soundscapes with back-up vocals and a full complement of instruments. You don’t need to be releasing a film or making a commercial to enjoy the benefits of this service! Imagine how wonderful a friend or relative would feel receiving the gift of a CD or mp3 of a song created especially for them!
